Luxurious edition of the poetic work of Auguste Angellier originally published in 1896, here produced by the Bibliophiles du Faubourg, illustrated with 10 woodcuts in bistre by Jean-Baptiste Vettiner (1871-1935).

Vettiner produced many illustrations for bibliophile works, among others published by Georges Crès and René Kieffer. Grand Prix d'honneur at the Salon des arts décoratifs in 1923, Vettiner collaborated, in 1931, on the design of the pavilion of the city of Bordeaux intended for the colonial exhibition in Paris, with the architect Raoul Jourde

Printed in 110 numbered copies on specially watermarked Arches tinted vellum, this one n°41 printed for Mr. René Reinig.

In sheets, illustrated folded cover, in cardboard folder and slipcase. - Back of the past case, the rest in very good fresh condition. Partially uncut copy.
