Jeronaton is the pseudonym of Belgian comics artist Jean Torton. He is both a draftsman and a writer. Torton's early days include numerous short comics and two historical comics. These appeared from 1962 in the comics magazine Tintin, for which he also started working. He was also involved in the production of several animated films starring Asterix and Tintin. From 1978 he wrote and drew several comics for adults as Jeronaton, such as Champakou and Het ei van de wereld. Recent work by Torton consists of several albums around the character Alex and the person Napoleon Bonaparte.
