Couple of beautiful etchings of the Vlaeyensgang in Antwerp (entrance and interior view) made by the artist Romain Malfliet.

Romain Malfliet was a Belgian artist who was born in 1910 and died in 2006. He was a painter, watercolorist and above all an etcher. He studied at the Academy in Sint-Niklaas, at the Academy in Ghent and at the Hoger Instituut in Antwerp. He was a student of J. De Bruycker, W. Vaes and Opsomer, among others. He had a preference for landscapes and cityscapes and preferred to find his inspiration in the Waasland and Antwerp. In 1979 a tribute book "Romain Malfliet and the Land of Waas" was published, with almost three hundred of his etchings and texts by W. Melis and W. Persoon.

Vlaeykensgang Inside: 37x26cm and with frame 57x42x2cm, hand signed and numbered 91 on 100

Both etchings are in good condition with glass/plastic plate for the etching (see condition photos and details).
