Made of various materials: plastic, rubber, celluloid. The "general" with the pointed helmet, consists of a heavy kind of clay-like substance; this is probably the oldest doll, certainly before 1930. Can be seen in photo 7, in the middle of the right vertical row.
Beautiful lot, no modern puppet theater dolls (until 1970 approximately).
