Possibly C. Richter, originally a German furniture maker (Karl Erdmann Richter)
Master furniture maker on February 4, 1784. Supplier of the Crown furnishings. He distinguished himself in the manufacture of mahogany furniture, such as cylinder desks, bookcases, chests of drawers and consoles, chic tables... Based in Paris from 1781, he produced high quality mahogany furniture and also supplied other furniture makers, such as Riesener: various pieces of furniture with their two stamps testify to this collaboration. There is also a remarkable relationship between his work and that of Weisweiler. His clientele included Monsieur, brother of the King and future King Louis XVIII, the Imperial Furniture Guard in 1811.

Recently thoroughly checked for loose parts of construction and veneer. No live woodworm found on 2/22/2023
