Selling here is a nice example of Salomon's, 'Le cantique des cantiques'. Illustrated throughout by Jean Berque. Limited to 99 total copies, this being number 17 - signed by the illustrator. Appears to be lacking the original watercolour and the decomposition of a plate - although several compositions have been enhanced by hand by the Artists hand. Bound in the original wraps. With slipcase.
Condition: The binding has wear and light edge loss, bumping to head/tail and all four corners. A few small nicks. Toned and with some light spotting. Slipcase worn and marked. Contents: In good order, occasional light spotting and with page edges rough. Largely un-cut. Blindstamp to corner of last leaf. A nice example overall. Please see our images for further description.
