A Treu masterpiece created by one of the leading members of the Barbizon school of landscape painters, Jules Dupré. This stunning painting showcases the breathtaking colors of a sunset by the sea, with a mix of pink and purple hues and a sparkling water scene that truly captures the essence of nature's beauty. In excellent condition, this piece is a true work of art.

Jules Louis Dupré, born in Nantes, France, was a French painter known for his dramatic and tragic depictions of nature. He was influenced by the genius of John Constable and learned to express movement in nature through his paintings. Dupré was awarded a second-class medal at the Salon in 1834 and named an Officer of the French Légion d'honneur in 1848.

His paintings are known for their sonorous colors and preference for dramatic sunset effects and stormy skies and seas. Late in life, Dupré changed his style to gain appreciably in largeness of handling and arrived at greater simplicity in his color harmonies. Among his most famous works are the Morning and Evening at the Louvre and the early Crossing the Bridge in the Wallace Collection.

Don't miss out on the chance to own a piece of history and add this beautiful painting to your collection.
