Herman van Swanevelt (1600-1655) - Dutch School
Painter/etcher als called Herman d'Italy or Il Erimita. Born in the Netherlands, he first went to Paris and then to Rome where he was the pupil of Claude le Lorrain. Back in Paris he worked in the style of his famous master and some of his works where attributed first to Claude Lorrain or Nicolas Poussin. 63397739
