Corneille, 50 years of prints, French/English, hardcover, hardcover, L'estampe editions, 96 pages, richly illustrated in color. 2002

Grand Master of color in the wake of Gauguin and Matisse, Guillaume Corneille creates a jovial world imbued with exoticism. Corneille's lithographic quality is so high that it gives the impression of seeing the line of the pencil and the touch of the brush in front of you.

Identified as an important figure in the renewal of abstraction in Northern Europe, Corneille gradually moved from 1967 towards a rich and colorful New Figuration that coordinated with the Pop Art taste of the 1960s and 1970s, and exhibited in alongside Andy Warhol, Arman, Caesar, etc. 67365133
