I have here for sale a superbly illustrated book entitled Picturesque Palestine, Sinai and Egypt. Vol. II. by Wilson, Charles. Published by J.S. Virtue and Co. Limited, London, 1880. It's a First Edition. With numerous engravings on steel and wood, unfortunately the 12 steel engravings listed are not present here. This book forms part of a 4 volume set, volume 2 only here for sale.
Maroon decorated cloth, with gilt titles on frontboard and spine. Published in London towards the end of the 1800s in beautiful gilded pictorial binding with gilded page ends, beautifully illustrated. Yellow endpapers, inner hinges are slightly cracked, boards are firm and in very good/fine condition. Contents is clean and bright, with no loose or missing pages, (exept for the steel engravings), overall the book is in good condition for its age. 238 pages, 32,5 x 25,5 cm.
