A figure of Giralda of Seville (Giraldillo)

Cast in bronze with crisp detail and lovely natural patination on the black marble cube

Giraldillo is the popular name given to the sculpture that crowns the Giralda in Seville. However, he received the name Faith, the triumph of the church, the Colossus of the victorious faith or the Allegory of the strength of Faith was conducted in 1568.
The figure has a large shield or labaro acting as a weather vane on his right hand and a palm on his left hand. The lady wears a helmet surrounded by a crown. This crown does not correspond to those carved in the Renaissance, but rather reproduces the style of the late Middle Ages.
