Ring in 585 / 14 kt yellow gold. The ring has a round light blue natural star sapphire of 9.00 ct. edged. Measures 11mm in diameter and 7mm in height. The sapphire has a beautiful, distinct asterism (star) that moves across the gemstone with every movement. The asterism is caused by internal rutile inclusions in the gemstone. Natural star sapphires are usually left uncut beneath the stone to avoid destroying the asterism. The rough structure under the sapphire is deliberately left unpolished.
