#DIYXMAS – DIY Snowman
I love being a bit creative. From painting to making little crafts, I really enjoy doing anything arty in my spare time. Pinterest is a great place to get inspiration for anything crafty, and that's exactly where I got the idea to make this little snowman. It's really simple to do, takes very little time, and all the materials can easily be found in your home already- my kind of craft!
So here's how to make your little snowman...
- 1 White Sports Sock
- 1 Coloured Sock/ Scrap of Material
- Rice
- Elastic Bands
- Pins
- Scissors
Step One
Cut off the top, straight part of the white sock. Discard the foot end.
Step Two
Secure one end of the sock with an elastic band. Make sure it is very tight so no rice will fall out.
Step Three
Poor rice into the sock. Fill it as full as possible in order to make a nice shape and less creases when the elastic bands are tied.
Step Four
Secure the top with an elastic band. Then wrap another elastic band approximately two thirds up to create the head.
Step Five
Stick two pins in for eyes and one for a nose. You can get really creative and sew buttons on instead if you want! Finally, cut out a scrap of material and tie around the elastic band neck to make a scarf and cut the end off a sock to make a little hat. Et Voila! You have a cute little snowman!
