Preloved Makes Plans to Donate to Leading Animal Welfare Charity
One of the UK’s leading classified ad sites, Preloved.co.uk, is celebrating their love of dogs this week. As part of this celebration, they want to donate to the UK’s leading dog welfare charity, Dogs Trust.
Charities play a massively important part in ensuring unwanted dogs can find a loving new home. As well as taking in dogs off the public that walk through the doors, animal charities also relieve the strains on dog pounds by saving thousands of stray dogs each year from being humanely euthanised. According to a national annual survey conducted by Dogs Trust, there is an estimated 112,000 stray dogs now living in the UK.
Approximately 48% of stray dogs are reunited with their owners, and since 1997 the number of unwanted dogs being put to sleep has fallen. Without the hard work conducted by the various animal welfare charities across the UK, this improvement could not be possible.
With over 14,000 dog adverts, Preloved is one of the leading UK classified ad sites to buy, sell and re-home dogs online. In line with their aim to provide in depth, up to date welfare information for members and visitors, Preloved also want to help the hundreds of unwanted dogs there are in the UK today. For one week, Preloved will donate £1 to the Dogs Trust for each member that upgrades to FULL Membership for just £5 for the year.
Founded in 1891, the Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. As well as caring for around 16,000 dogs across the UK and finding them happy new homes, Dogs Trust also conduct important research and surveys which then lead on to drive key campaigns and projects - all in aid of man's best friend.
Those wanting to upgrade to help raise money for this fantastic charity have until Midnight on Sunday 18th May.
