Preloved Celebrates Its Annual National Secondhand Day
The UK’s most passionate buying and selling site Preloved.co.uk, is hosting the second year of its annual celebration of the secondhand market and the acts of selling, recycling and saving money. National Secondhand Day will take place on Sunday 27th April.
This day will cap off the Open House Month which launched a fee-free property service and generated an increase of over 25% of activity in the Property and Accommodation section of the site. With fees constantly on the rise when you come to sell, buy or rent a property, Preloved has made its mission to disrupt the property market and be your perfect property partner.
Preloved has a vast range of categories, and is the UK’s largest pet classified site with over 75,000 active adverts in the animal categories alone, including horses, livestock, dogs, cats, birds, rodents and rabbits. There were over 1.3 million ads created across all categories last year, making Preloved one of the largest UK classified ad sites. With the majority of ads being created in the home and family section, where you can find everything from wedding dresses to bathroom fittings, including 300,000 adverts in furniture section alone, Preloved is THE place to go to find secondhand bargains.
Throughout Preloved's National Secondhand Day, the website will feature competitions, interviews and advice from leading secondhand experts, alongside projects to upcycle old items. You have to be a member to respond to adverts but you can join for free for a basic membership. There are a further three levels of paid membership; Full, Premium and Business, making Preloved the only forum in the UK that brings together the largest number of free and paid users creating stacks of choice and value. To celebrate National Secondhand Day, the site will be offering Full and Paid memberships at HALF PRICE, meaning members can receive added extras for a fraction of the price.
A spokesman for Preloved said “We are expecting to see 500,000 visitors online during National Secondhand Day, which is 30% higher than usual, over 20,000 new ads to be created and over 60,000 messages exchanged between members. By waiving our normal membership fees for 24 hours and making it as little as £2.50 for a year's membership to Preloved, we want to encourage as many people as we can to get clearing out their clutter and cashing in on National Secondhand Day.”
