Advert Description

This incredibly difficult and heartbreaking decision wasn’t made lightly, but due to changes in our circumstances, we are in search of an exceptional, forever (pet) home for our beloved rabbits, Rupert and Penelope. We seek a compassionate adopter with extensive knowledge in rabbit care — someone devoted and committed to providing the optimal living environment and attention that they deserve. If you can open your heart and offer a loving home to my adorable, bonded companions, kindly reach out.

Rupert is a 6-year-old neutered male with a gentle and sweet temperament. Having been handled from a young age, he is comfortable with human interaction and is very loving. Penelope is a 4-year-old spayed female, and despite having the same upbringing, she has a timid nature and gets easily startled. This said, she remains a sweet girl and enjoys being gently petted.

Rupert and Penelope are best friends — besotted with each other and spend all of their time cuddling and spooning. Neither have any health issues and they have received annual vaccinations since birth. Rabbits thrive when living with their own kind, and as they have been bonded over 4 years, they will be adopted together.

They currently enjoy an outdoor lifestyle in a converted shed space with an attached run, along with (supervised) free roam in a predator-secure garden. It is crucial that their new home maintains these standards, or they may transition to being indoor house pets.

Rabbits make great pets but they are not suitable for a family with young children. They require safe, gentle handling and a quiet environment. They also require a lot of care and attention which is why I’ll need to make sure they’re going to a 5* home. An adoption fee will be required to ensure they are placed in responsible hands.

Thanks so much for your consideration and please get in touch if you think you can help.
