Advert Description

THIS IS NOT A NORMAL ADVERT, HOMES WILL BE VETTED THOROUGHLY.

I am looking to find a home for my two Indian Ringnecks - green male, Kiwi and grey female, Reyna. They are not a breeding pair, and in fact don’t like each other at all, caged separately because of this. I rescued them both years apart so had no intention of ever breeding them, so anyone who intends to do so won’t be considered.

Ideally I’d be looking at two separate homes, an aviary for Kiwi, and a home for Reyna. Kiwi isn’t tame, he’s landed on my shoulder twice in 5 years and flew off straight away. He would do well with birds of his own kind.

Reyna is tame, but she’s very tricky. I own many birds, and I’ve never met anything like her. She’s OBSESSED with me, and likely whoever her caregiver is - but will attack other birds if you give them attention around her. Very silly tame, loves a cuddle 24/7, but I can’t have her out with the other birds meaning she’s spending less time out than they are. Steps up, recalls (for treats), can be put upside down. Very independent girl, but easily the loudest bird I’ve ever met. Most of that is probably down to her not being socialised enough at the moment.

They mean so much to me, and it’s really difficult to push my selfishness aside but they need to be happy.

Please be aware that I will be very thorough on the home checks, and will want to get to know you. I will also be writing a small contract, just to say that if there’s any issues - they come back to me. I don’t want them sold on and on, as Reyna has had 4 homes before myself.
