Advert Description
Gorgeous Aphonopelma gabeli (Carlsbad Green) spider for sale. This comes with the tank and habitat contents as seen.
Bought from The Spider Shop (UK) in October 2023 as a large sub adult. Our purchase was including a spider-specific tank that’s ideal for this species of USA terrestrial tarantula. The spider is docile in nature and non aggressive.
I recommend you do own research on spider care, yet the general consensus is that heat mats are not appropriate (which is great) and they’re very easy to live with. They’re totally silent and odourless. Very cheap to maintain. You need to feed them live crickets (once a *month) which you can buy off Amazon for circa £6 for 20 and ensure they always have water.
*this spider, ate lots of crickets (about 15) in the first month but has not eaten for about eight weeks. Apparently this is common. They can go without food for up to a year.
So, as a family, we bought this spider as a pet for my nine year old. It’s a shame to let him go, but truthfully we havnt really bonded and think it would be far better for him to be in the care of an enthusiast.
Spent about £150 on the the total setup.
NB not totally sure on whether male or female.
