Advert Description
Considering Rehome of our beautiful female Columbian Tegu.
She is roughly 5 years old and has had a number of homes now but settled with us for the last 12 months roughly 2.5 feet in length healthy eating pooping and shedding regularly.
This 12 months trying to rehabilitate her has been a real challenge having been an almost full time free roaming lizard with little to no handling or human contact and unsuitable enclosure size heat and lighting with a restricted diet. She has come a long way. She is in by no means a handleable lizard and shows little to no similarities to behaviour to a well trained Argentine black and white.
My partner has worked tirelessly to ensure she eats a good varied diet and receives as much time out of her enclosure that we can allow. Our issue has been with having such a large collection and her being so food motivated we struggle to give her the time out of her enclosure safely with other animals in the room as regularly as would like.
This advert is purely to see if there are any suitable homes preferred with experience showing good knowledge of keeping and obviously evidence of a current suitable set up and home. We will be devastated to see her go after working so hard to improve her quality of life but that being said if the right people are able to improve on what we have already achieved it is only right to see her move to greener pastures.

The current 7x3 enclosure could be arranged to go with her I will work out a price on request but will take some serious deconstruction as the room is built around her.
She has come so far but is still very flighty and unsure of human contact I have no doubt with more time on hand to be around her shy the odd sign of defense she could be a great hands on pet. But for now she requires a high level of care and understanding to match her requirements.
