How to Make Your Own Snow Flake
This year, instead of splashing out on wasteful expensive decorations this year, why not have a go at crafting some homemade Christmas decorations?
Through this year's Preloved advent calendar, we'll be sharing some quick and easy crafts you can have a crack at this year. Plus, they'll all be using recycled materials to help you reduce your waste double-time this Christmas!
we've got this super cute and easy snowflake!
What you'll need:
- 3 lollies per snowflake
- Buttons (white/pale blue shades)
- Small string to make a hook to hang on the tree
- Glue gun
- White Paint
Step 1
Firstly, take your three lolly sticks and paint them white. Wait for them to dry and then glue together in the center spaced out to create your snowflake shape.
Step 2
Glue your white and blue buttons along the sticks to create a snow effect.
Step 3
Glue string to one of the ends to create a loop to be hung on the tree.
Step 4
Alternatively, you could remove the string and glue on to your presents to decorate
And you're done, your very own snowflake! Why not make a variety of designs and put together a little display? Quick and easy, and a great way of getting rid of some leftover waste at home!
