Pure breed border collie Poch looking for new forever home!!
It is with regret that we have come to the very hard decision to find our border collie Poch a new forever home.
Our lives have changed a lot over the past few years after having to down size our home and our son who has autism getting older and more challenging.
Poch is a lovely dog, great with people and other dogs but unfortunately has never bonded with our 6 year old son.
He is very energetic(Poch) and loves his walks and his ball. Not a huge foodie and not overly fussed with lots of attention. He will happily lay in his bed on his own of an evening or lay in his kennel area of the garden without being bothered.
He would be most suitable to either an energetic couple or family with older children or a single person who can give him the time and attention he needs and deserves. I say this as poch is very possessive of myself and is jealous of our 6 year old son, he tries to herd him annd stalks him and isn’t really interested in playing with him or being around him.
My partner has worked with him and given him some agility training, recall is good although can get distracted by other dogs, travels ok in cars most of the time, can be eager on his lead on way out on walk but on way home is easy.
Our lives are so hectic we just cannot give him the time, devotion and exercise he needs, We have given him nearly 4 years of our lives but it just hasnt seemed to work out.
