Advert Description
Lucy is a 4.5 year old female, miniature dachshund. We've had her since she left her mum at 8 weeks old. She lives with our 3 children and a cat. She gets on really well with our cat but can bark at others that she sees. She's also spayed after having 1 season back in 2021. We've had to make the sad decision to rehome Lucy due to working full time and 3 children we unfortunately can't give her all the attention that she deserves. She suffered with separation anxiety for a few years, but we've worked with her, and she can now be left comfortably without causing her distress. She can be a bit nervous when meeting new people and tends to bark at them, but she soon comes around. She hates the postman and the window cleaner and anyone knocking at the door! Lucy would be best suited to someone who has experience of owning a daschund and/or an older couple who can spend a lot of time with her for cuddles and walks. I also think she would benefit from having the company of another dog.
This is very difficult for the family, especially the children, so please no time waster. Serious enquiries only.
It won't be a quick process, and we want to make sure your home is right for Lucy, so please bare in mind it might take a few visits/walks before anything happens.
Lucy does suffer with allergies and has medicated shampoo that she needs to use once weekly and tablets prescribed from the vets to help with with itchy skin.
