FEMALE 4 year old Lurcher Whippet Fully Vacintated and Kennel Cough - not due until April next year
Sophie is our beautiful girl who has been dearly loved since we rescued her as a neglected and malnourished puppy of 10 weeks old.
For over 4 years we have tried everything to help Sophie feel loved, safe and cherished. Unfortunately, she expereinces separation anxiety and is significantly attached to my husband and youngest son to the point it is making her unwell.
We've worked with a number of dog trainers, behaviourists. The vets have provided medication after we tried an abundant of Holistic alternatives. But one thing remains consistent is that after a period of time Sophies anxiety returns.
We believe with a heavy heart that Sophie needs a different family.
We are looking for someone who is- experienced with the breed not a large family ideally retired and likes sofa cuddles doesn't have many visitors to their home as this upsets her an only dog as she loves our other furbabies, but she is very dominating over them ideally can walk in a dog field or has a large private property.
She has been raised with chickens, dogs and children. She has always got on well with them all. Her anxiety is towards other people, other people's small dogs and my husband and son leaving her.
It has taken many years to accept that we aren't the right home for Sophie and she deserves the opportunity to find a home where her anxiety isn't as triggered as it is living with us.
