We Care About Animal Welfare
We care about animals here at Preloved, and making sure we are doing all we can to combat animal welfare concerns is very important to us. We continuously work closely with various animal welfare charities and organisations to make sure our site is a safe place for owners and pets to find a forever friend.
Over the last few months, we have taken part in a pilot scheme to enforce a set of minimum standards on ALL our pet adverts. These standards have been set by thePets Advertising Advisory Group (PAAG), a government endorsed advisory group set up by the following charities to help sites like us combat animal welfare concerns.
As a result of this advert monitoring scheme, over 100,000 inappropriate adverts were removed across the sites involved in the pilot scheme which is a fantastic result in regards to improving animal welfare in the pet trade. We are proud to meet these standards.

We are committed to meeting these standards and moderate 100% of our animal adverts to ensure all pet adverts on site do so. Anything we are not sure about gets run past PAAG as an advisory measure.
However, we see these standards as what they are, a MINIMUM requirement, and we strive to continue to grow our pet advice and welfare pages so YOU are constantly up to date with useful pet care information.
We need your help
We will do all we can to make sure none of the pet adverts on our site have animal welfare concerns. However, if an advert is to slip through our tight regulatory measures, we will need your help to find them and remove them from site quickly.
