Place An Advert And We’ll Plant A Tree, with (more:trees)

You've probably already seen that Preloved are going to be pretty busy this month. We're going to be celebrating our ninth National Second Hand Day. However, did you know that we're also planning to plant trees, too? A whole lot of trees, in fact. For every advert our members post in certain categories from April 1st through to April 24th, we'll plant a tree.

Preloved has always been serious about keeping items out of landfill, and we're proud to have helped millions of items find new homes through us over the years. That's why, this National Second Hand Day, we're focussing on the environment, and the positive impact resale of used goods has. And who better to team up with than our very own sister company, (more:trees)?!

Why Plant A Tree?

Although the resale of 'preloved' items helps to prevent harming the planet, we wanted to do something to actively help the planet. Trees help combat global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen back into the air. Trees also provide protection for different species of animals, invertebrates, plants, fungi, and mosses, supporting biodiversity.

But did you know, as many as 15 billion trees are cut down each year, and whilst we may not be able to plant 15 billion trees here at Preloved to balance that out, we can certainly do our bit! And if we all make a small change, we can make a big impact.

Introducing (more:trees)

This National Second Hand Day, we've teamed up with our sister company, (more:trees), to help combat climate change.

(more:trees) allows people to plant a tree for themselves, as part of a business, or even as a gift for a loved one. The process is nice and simple, each tree costs only £1, and it takes no time at all to do online.

  • Plant Trees: Plant trees for yourself or your business.
  • Gift Trees: Plant for family, customers and others.

So while you're finding a loving new home for your unused items, you'll be making some money and helping the environment.
