Get The Look at Home Using the Preloved Time Machine!

You already know well enough that Preloved is filled with second hand gems and treasures, but did you know that you can view items by era? Travel through time with Preloved's Time Machine, and see what amazing items you can find from different moments in history! Here are some of our favourite eras:

1920's Interior Design

The 1920's were a time of glitz and glamour, with influences from the early Hollywood silver screen and exotic touches from the Orient, Africa and Egypt. The Interior Designer was born and employed to recreate these lavish scenes in peoples homes around the world.

You can re-create the 1920's feel in your home by using strong streamlined shapes for furniture and using bold colours such as silver, black and white.

1950's Interior Design

The 1950's was a time when people were not afraid to show off their riches. Homes were created with sleek lines and peoples optimism after the war shone through with bright colours and patterns exploding onto the scene.

Recreating the 50's look is simple with Preloved's time machine! Pastel colours reigned throughout with lighting looking like something from outer-space. There was no holding back through this decade.

1980's Interior Desgin

The 1980's saw the return of floral, lace and ruffles. Colours included emerald green, peach, purple and teals and we saw brass accents and features throughout. There was also an emphasis on geometric patterns and pop art, which was seen through accessories in homes all over!

So, there you have it! Recreating a past era in your own home can be much easier than you think! You can check out our Time Machine here.
