Sometimes you just end up with a new member of the family who was meant to be there. Preloved member, Helen, tells the Preloved Community how the dog she found on Preloved became the perfect member of the family.
Together we adopted Jack the collie in Oct 2014 from a friend who could no longer care for him. We are an active, childless couple with lots of love for doggies and wanted to expand the pack! After weeks of searching border collie rescue sites, a dear friend told us about Preloved! So in Sept 2015 we spotted a 6 month old collie x husky on Preloved in Worcestershire – the photo certainly didn’t do her justice, but luckily the sunny weather beckoned a road trip so we set off without any expectations. As soon as we walked through the door to meet the little bundle of joy, she jumped up and greeted us with a big grin and long wagging tail – a walk around a local park to introduce her to Jack and we were all in love! She cuddled the whole way home and we haven’t looked back.
I know we have been very lucky with Jess, she is honestly the best dog you could ever ask for! From the morning cuddles in bed, encouraging us all to play football, running, swimming, climbing, helping in the garden (pics), smiling, warmly greeting all of our friends, and entertaining us all with her talking! She has transformed Jack from fearing other dogs to play fighting and spooning at night! (It took 6 months to get to this stage!)
She has brought our furry family together… Thank you Preloved!
